Hi! I’m Bartosz, and I live life to the fullest. I was born with (SMA), but I have never let it stop me. Professionally, I work as a graphic designer, and in my private life, I am the proud father of a wonderful 7-year-old. I love my life. I create content, interview musicians, and I am passionate about metal music. I show that barriers exist only in our minds, which I prove every day on my Instagram profile @rybaprywatnie.
For me, a wheelchair is not just equipment – it is my legs, my tool for living. Without it, working, leaving the house, attending concerts, traveling, and daily functioning would not be possible.
Why am I raising funds for a new wheelchair?
I currently own two wheelchairs:
- The first one was purchased six years ago with the support of the subsidy program, but it has not withstood the test of time. It was my first electric wheelchair and now requires costly repairs. Its features are no longer adequate for my current health condition, and upgrading it is not an option.
- The second one I bought privately, but it was already an aging veteran, having passed through three or four previous owners. It is constantly breaking down, and finding spare parts is nearly impossible. Its weak motors severely limit me, and even brand-new batteries are drained like a dragon devouring its prey.
Now it’s time for a wheelchair I can rely on 100%!
Amount to be raised: PLN 51,000
The total cost of the wheelchair is 85,000 PLN, but I have a chance to receive funding from PFRON of up to 33,875 PLN. The high price is due to specialized additional equipment: an adjustable headrest for head stabilization, an electric seat with an electric tilt and lift, electrically adjustable footrests, custom-adjustable armrests, and special two-point safety belts. With your support, I will be able to cover the remaining amount and purchase a wheelchair that will allow me to fully enjoy life!
